StakeLogic Casinos

We’re always happy to give a fresh games developer a look, as we’re sometimes a bit bored by all those regular releases from the big powerhouses of the slot gaming industry. Don’t get us wrong – we love seeing new games from Microgaming and especially NetEnt, but all breaths of fresh air are warmly welcome, which is why we’re going to take a closer look at StakeLogic.

About StakeLogic

StakeLogic are among the very newest kids on the block, as the first press release about the company came in the first months of 2015, which is when the company was also established with the intention to focus on developing outstanding and high-end 3D HTML5 casino games.

It’s not a completely new venture, however, as it’s backed by a much larger and much older group of industry veterans. That said, it seems that the team retains a lot of independence and that it can focus almost solely on games, so that’s something that players are bound to appreciate considering that there are so many companies out there that want to do everything without any ambitions to excel in any department.

Although a big part of the company is registered in Malta for obvious reasons, the biggest chunk of its operations are apparently done in the Netherlands. More specifically, the firm’s largest offices can be found in the city of Eindhoven.

It’s also worth mentioning that all the important members of the team have their own mini-profiles on the company’s website. That’s a small detail, of course, but it does show that StakeLogic most certainly aren’t one of those run-of-the-mill companies that don’t have their own style and soul.

StakeLogic’s Products

Although we don’t really know how exactly the team is structured, it seems to us that there are basically two sides of StakeLogic – one that’s focusing on the development of the MOBi platform and one that’s focusing on the development of the actual games.

The MOBi platform is apparently supposed to allow for easy deployment of new games to all the different mobile platforms and also to help online casinos integrate the StakeLogic games into the games catalogues they already have. It’s a back-end solution more than anything else, but not a massively complex one by the looks of things.

Special Features

The one big thing that StakeLogic came up with is the concept of 360° slots, which are all about giving the players a more immersive experience by allowing them to explore new environments instead of just presenting them with a single static screen that needs to be endured throughout the whole game. Most developers are trying to do the same thing by just animating the background a bit and making it more lively in one way or another, but the 360° concept is ahead of that, so chances are that it’s indeed going to catch on. There was just a single 360° slot available at the time of writing (with another one in development), so it’s hard for us to give some sort of a definitive verdict right now, but we will be keeping an eye on this intriguing specialty.

Apart from that, we’d also like to highlight the solid production values that pretty much all the StakeLogic games come with, which is all coupled with a very lucid interface that allows you to adjust all the important settings very quickly.

What’s more, StakeLogic always optimize their games for all the different mobile platforms, which means that you’re always going to get a great experience regardless of whether you’re playing the slots on your desktop computer or your Android device.

That said, there’s still a lot of work to be done as far as creativity is concerned, as the gameplay side of things seems to be slightly sidelined at the moment. While all the StakeLogic slots have a decent number of gameplay features, there isn’t a huge variety of them and virtually all of them are decidedly old-school.

Top Online Slot Games

If you’re itching to give some of the StakeLogic games a go, we’ll be happy to provide you with our current top three list.

First of all, there’s the Football Gladiators slot that was made just in time for the Euro 2016 football tournament and that features an intriguing mix of themes. It shines with its audiovisual qualities and it’s going to give you at least a couple of hours of solid fun – and it doesn’t really matter whether you’re a fan of football or not.

Secondly, we’d like to draw your attention to the Spartus video slot that’s utilizing the 360° concept we’ve mentioned above to a great effect, allowing players to explore new environments as the game progresses. It’s a slightly simplistic slot game on the fundamental level, but it proves that there’s some thought behind the 360° concept and that it could bring great things going forward, so make sure that you’ll give it a go in order to see what the future might look like.

Finally, we’ll also give a shout-out to Monkeys of the Universe, a slot game that’s bound to appeal to everyone who loves comics. That’s the art style this nifty little game is building on and it has some suitably badass heroes to go with it, so it simply oozes charm in that particular direction. It also has a very solid RTP of 97.20%, so you aren’t very likely to lose your bankroll even if you stay at it for more than just a couple of spins.

Supported Platforms

Although desktop gaming is still bigger and more important than mobile gaming from the business point of view, it doesn’t take a genius to discover that the trends are changing quite quickly and that we might soon enter an age in which mobile platforms are going to take the lead. It’s not a given that this will happen, of course, but StakeLogic are doing everything they can in order to get ready for that age, as their main focus already lies in the realm of mobile gaming, which is well-evidenced by the MOBi platform they’re constantly developing and improving.

The technological key to all this is, of course, the increasingly popular HTML5 platform that’s quickly replacing Flash as the number one choice for developers all across the world. While the vast majority of games developers still have some Flash games in their repertoires (which makes it somewhat difficult for them to offer their entire catalogues to players that play on the go), StakeLogic have never gone in that direction, so they shouldn’t have any issues with portability and accessibility going forward.

Known Problems/Issues

So far, StakeLogic have been fairly conservative with their expansion plans, but that can only be a good thing with regards to their reputation, as it means that they’re yet to sign any deals or partnerships that the players couldn’t be too confident about.

Is there a danger of them going astray in the future? Well, we don’t really think there is – and the logic behind that reasoning has a lot to do with the fact that they aren’t a completely independent venture. Considering that there’s a much bigger group behind them, there will always be a force capable of steering them back onto the right track, which should be good news for all players that are looking for exciting games that can be enjoyed on the go as easily as on computers.

Summing Up

Although the early days of StakeLogic didn’t bring a lot of excitement, the entire project is now starting to gain a lot of traction and we are looking forward to what they’re going to come up with next, as there’s undoubtedly a lot of potential in the development team. We also like how focused these guys are and how they’re betting on mobile platforms being the future of entire industry. The immediate pay-off isn’t going to be that big, but they’ll be in a great position when (and if) mobile platforms become the main market, so they are already in an excellent shape as far as their long-term prospects are concerned.
