Theme and Graphics

We’ve already mentioned that the graphics are colorful – and you’d really be hard-pressed to find a game that could challenge Thunderbird in this particular detail. To be fair, the technological side of things isn’t exactly top-notch, but we do like how lively it all is and we’re sure that the purple filter is going to find plenty of fans.

The theme of the game builds on the world of Native America, giving players a chance to enjoy symbols with totems, masks and bits of nature. While the designers weren’t creative enough to do away with the traditional A-K-Q-J-10 symbols, even those are quite stylish, so we’re not going to criticize them too much.

While the graphics aren’t very likely to be a big miss with anyone, the soundtrack Thunderbird comes with is a true love-or-hate affair in our opinion, as its rhythms are most definitely not bland. Chances are that many players are going to turn the audio off straight away, but we do like the fact that the developers weren’t afraid to take a risk on this front – it’s better to be hated than bland.

Gameplay

Is the gameplay of Thunderbird as good as the slot’s audiovisuals, however? Well, it most certainly is, offering players a decent amount of features to play with and enjoy.

Firstly, there’s the mandatory Wild Symbol that works as a substitute for all the regular symbols when making winning lines – and the interesting bit is that it also works as a 2x multiplier for all the wins it features in.

Secondly, there’s the Scatter Symbol that can get you to the excellent Free Spins feature. All you need to do is to get three or more of these symbols during a single spin.
