Slotfather 2 Slot Review

Sequels are most certainly not a common sight in online slot gaming, but that doesn’t mean that they’re a bad idea per se. After all, there are many interesting slot games that could be expanded on – and the successes of slots like Thunderstruck II should not be overlooked either.

With that in mind, let’s take a look at one of the newest sequels on the scene, the Slotfather 2 slot from Betsoft. The original was pretty good, so we were fairly excited to hear about this particular release. Does it live up to the expectations, however?

Theme and Graphics

Now – there aren’t any big surprises waiting for you on the theme front, as Slotfather 2 is all about the mafia lifestyle. And that theme is obviously reflected in the game’s symbols, which depict things like wads of cash, cigars, and playing cards. The graphical style of the slot is marvellous and we love the fact that there are no generic symbols to be found anywhere. Everything is completely unique here – and that’s giving the game a fabulous atmosphere.

Slotfather 2 Slot

There are also many interesting animations that make Slotfather 2 well and truly come alive, so the only small minus is that the game doesn’t run all that well on outdated computers. That’s only a minor flaw, however, and the vast majority of players aren’t even going to notice it, so let’s not be overly critical here.

And the game’s soundtrack? In short, it’s fabulous – we didn’t even want to turn the volume down at any point!

Gameplay

Let’s now take a look at the slot’s gameplay features – and there’s no better place to start than the Wild symbol.

In this game, it comes in the form a chest with playing cards – and it substitutes for all regular symbols in winning combinations. It can appear only on reels 2 and 4 in the base game, however.

Secondly, there’s the Scatter symbol that looks like a blue truck and that can get you to the Free Spins Feature. All you need to get are three or more of these Scatters anywhere on the reels – and you’re then going to win eight, twelve, or twenty free spins. All wins are automatically doubled during all free spins and you can also get a juicy Big Boss Bonus if you’re lucky enough, so it’s safe to say that you’ll always be on the lookout for those blue trucks.

Thirdly, there are three different Gangster Symbols that can cover up to three places at once. When you get two full stacks of the same gangster, you’ll be awarded a single respin – and what you’ll be looking for is a third full stack, as three full stacks grant access to the Gangster Feature. In it, you’ll be asked to collect some protection money – and the payouts can be quite generous.

Finally, there’s also the so-called Double Up Game that allows you to wager your winnings on a coin-flip. A correct guess will double your payout, but a wrong one will leave you empty-handed.

Technicalities

Slotfather 2 uses a completely regular setup with five reels and three rows, but the interesting bit is that there are no traditional paylines to be found anywhere. Instead, the slot features the popular 243 Ways to Win specialty, which means that wins tend to come on a fairly regular basis.

As you would except, there’s no way to go around this particular feature, so you can’t choose how many active paylines you want to play with – you’re just stuck with 243 of them no matter what. You can, however, choose how much money you want play for, with the possible stakes ranging from €0.50 to €125.

Finally, we’ll also mention that the slot’s theoretical return to player seems to stand at 95.7%, which is fully in line with our expectations.

Summary

Put bluntly, Slotfather 2 is an excellent sequel – and it’s also a great video slot in its own right. The audiovisuals are fabulous and the atmosphere is simply stunning, which alone makes the game a must-play for all fans of movies like The Godfather. But that isn’t even everything, as there are also some thematic gameplay features that make the experience even more enjoyable!

Where to Play

Slotfather 2 was developed and released by Betsoft, so you’ll need to find yourself a nice Betsoft-powered online casino in order to be able to play it. Don’t go looking around just yet, however – we’ve done all the research for you and we do have a good place to recommend.

It’s called Mr. Green and what makes it so unique is that it’s one of the very few online casinos that have a real personality. It’s hard to explain this in words, but there’s a certain energy that just radiates through virtually everything they do, from the texts they publish to the promotions they come up with (and they always have at least a few on offer).

Mr Green has some deposit options that have a 5 pound limit, though some others, like the instant bank transfer option, start at ten pounds.

This particular unique selling point couldn’t get Mr. Green very far on its own, however. Thankfully, they also have a superb core service that delivers on virtually every single front. The games catalogue, for example, contains not only hundreds of slots from a variety of games developers, but also a substantial number of live tables from firms like Extreme Live Gaming, NetEnt, and Evolution Gaming. Honestly, you might as well stop reading this article right now and head over to Mr. Green – you are going to like what’s on offer!
